Paul Hackeson is a Dynamic Retailer with over 37 years’ experience. Paul started his retail career in the Retail & Wholesale FMCG operations of the UK before switching to overseas roles in the fashion and lifestyle sectors where he gained a wealth of experience launching and running brands during their International expansion.
During 15 years in the Middle East, Paul successfully launched a new format Hypermarket business and then moved into luxury fashion, building a retail division of high profile brands, including Giorgio Armani, Gucci, Jimmy Choo, Sergio Rossi, Yves Saint Laurent, Bottega Veneta & Loro Piana.
Paul was part of the Al Tayer team that secured the rights for the launch of Harvey Nichols in Dubai, before switching into the lifestyle segment to launch the UK specialty brand Mamas & Papas and Crate & Barrel furniture stores from the US.
Prior to joining Quarto Paul spent 4 years in South Africa, where he joined the largest clothing and footwear retailer Edcon group. Charged with replicating the success of the Middle East, Paul secured and launched, River Island, TM Lewin, Dune, Dr. Martens, Jigsaw, Vince Camuto, & Victoria’s Secret Beauty. He became part of the Edcon Group Executive board in February 2014 as Managing Director of all International Brands, adding Mango and Topshop/Topman to the portfolio.
Paul is now Commercial Director Middle East for Calvin Klein & Tommy Hilfiger brands, part of the PVH group.
