Sharon Needham


A passion for range planning and product was developed at Marks & Spencer, Sharon Needham’s first retail employer. A move into buying and merchandising took her to Clarks Footwear and then to the Arcadia Group, Sears, House of Fraser, Kingfisher and the Pentland Group.

Since setting up her own retail consultancy business several years ago, Sharon has undertaken projects for C&A, Etam, Top Shop, Otto, New Look , Mosaic, The White Company and Verdict Research.

Sharon’s experience covers women’s, men’s and kids’ clothing, in both department stores and fast fashion retailers. She has worked extensively with emerging and established brands and has a vast knowledge of operating concessions, both as a host and as a concessionaire.

She lectures at the University of Westminster, teaching retail newcomers the art of buying.
